Sorry to drag up an old thread but this has just reared its head again. It has been perfect for quite a while but today we had a payment for the micro account and got:
Validation error: PayPal IPN response from a different email address (our email address). Order status changed from Pending payment to On hold.
WooCommerce version: 3.8.1
Just checked an earlier order from the same customer and this was also a micro payment but it worked fine.

Yes it’s set up with our normal Paypal account email address and the I have set up the Micropayment address in the plugin accordingly. We have had people using the site and normal Paypal payments complete as per usual but the micro go on hold. Our email addresses are at two different domains, could this be the issue?
