How to connect with Facebook app

Hi there…

I’m having problems when trying to create the facebook app to connect to the plugin. When I click on the green button “create app” at https://developers.facebook.com/apps/ I get a pop up notification saying “you are not allowed to create apps”.

Perhaps this is happening because is a business account the one I’m using in fb instead of my personal account?

Some help would be really appreciated!

Hi,

Can you check if at the top right corner of facebook if you see a down pointing triangle?
Using that link it will allow you to switch to a different account.

Unafortunately, I can’t see theese options… Once I’m logged, the first screen shown is the ‘manage ads dashboard’ and no switch option is found at the top.

Hi,

The screenshots are showing the Ad section of fb.
You need to go to: https://developers.facebook.com/

It seems facebook has changed their user interface and now you’ll need to go to the link above and then click on Apps.
It should show you Create new App.

Hi – I created the FB app as per your video instructions but when I test it on my page – ie click on the like button; I get the hidden message but when I check my FB page I don’t see a post that says that I liked my webpage. Not sure what I’m doing wrong… Thanks for creating this great app btw!

Hi Sam,

Did you publish the app (that’s in https://developers.facebook.com : Status and Review) ?
e.g. “Do you want to make this app and all its live features available to the general public?”
Does it show YES?
