How it works
it analyzes and scores the content that is submitted to a page and then based on certain criteria it detects that it's likely a spam.
Then the user is shown a (fake) success message so they don't find out that it's their spam was blocked. The spammers are forced to wait a little bit before they receive the response so that will slow them down.
Spam Definitions
We update the spam definitions almost daily sometimes but usually 1-3 times per week. If a spam message gets through we immediately update the definitions so any future spam attempts do not succeed.
We also block domains, IP addresses, different self promotional messages, crypto stuff etc.
Automatic Spam Definition Update
As long as your license key is valid the spam definitions will sync from our site every 4-6 hours.
We are focused on performance
The plugin will only run its anti-spam checks when there's a form submission of any sort e.g. a registration, comment etc.
We measure how long it took to detect the spam and will that feature is enabled it will be logged along with the spam data.
