Just bought Pro, but not working

Hi,

I just bought Like gate Pro,
Unfortunately this is not working properly, No matter what settings I have, the comment box come up and the code is not revealed.

It does seem as if work for some people though, in some browsers.

I can supply you with admin access, just pm me.

It seems to work much better in FireFox but not in Chrome or Safari.

This is my code:

It might work better if I just use this:
[like-gate]HIDDEN CODE 12345[/like-gate]

BUT, I want people to like the Facebook page, and not just the article. I don’t mind if they like the article too, but the FB page is a must.

Not sure whether you automatically like a facebook page when you like an article?

Hi,

OK. Let’s see what’s happening here.

Are you using the latest version (1.1.1) ?
Did you create a new Facebook app just specifically for the like gate plugin (howto video is in the plugin) ?

The pro version allows you to hide the comment which is an annoying feature of facebook.
Here is the documentation for the plugin

To hide the facebook comment you need to add hide_comment=”1″ parameter.

I have the latest version of Likegate, wordpress, SQL etc etc.
I just tried again, and even though I like it, the code doesn’t display.

I super need to send out a newsletter to this post in 12 hours… Hope you can help.

Hi Schalk,

I hope the reply is on time.

I think the forum has modified my reply and the quotes around hide comment didn’t show up correctly.
Can you try the following shortcode?
https://www.dropbox.com/s/jaysxqaeexyjumi/like-gate.txt

If you pass the url parameter it redirects the likes to a different page or external site.
If you don’t include it the like will go to the current page that the like button is shown.

It seems your working very late hours, not sure in what part of the world you are?

Anyhow, I replaced the code with that of yours, but it doesn’t work…
The only difference was that i used single ( ‘ ) while you used the double ( ” ).

I can make you admin if that will help?

Hi Schalk,

I see that you have entered the shortcode but it is not replaced that means Like Gate Pro is not active (in Plugins). By the way if you Activate the plugin from (WP admin plugins) but don’t enable the plugin (that’s from plugin’s settings) the shortcode will be replaced with some hidden/text and won’t show as unreplaced shortcode.

I also noticed you are using another plugin social plugin: facebook-page-promoter-lightbox
Did you notice if that affected the work of the like gate?

P.S. We are based in Canada. It was a busy day. We had to test some plugins for WordPress 3.8 which is out by the way.
PS. 2: I fixed a bug in the automatic updater yesterday which was denying update to people who were supposed to get an update.Everything is OK now.
