Plugin development is an awesome thing but sometimes we run into situations where WP_DEBUG_LOG can't help us.

This is the case when your plugin generates some output and WordPress *complains* about that.

By using the following snippet you can find out what's actually happening.

Ideally, you should install it as a MU plugin (that's in wp-content/mu-plugins/)

 

 

What's next?

  1. Activate the plugin that produces the output on activation
  2. Go to the wp-content folder and look for plugin_activation_error.log file
